Berest Dance Center can’t wait to set your spirits alight in our upcoming enrollment for our 2022 December Holiday Show.
September will fill our studios with the magical sounds of popular holiday scores and loads of rehearsals. Enroll in a Holiday Class and join the magic of the season. Ages 6-18 are invited. Only 1 rehearsal a week starting the week of September 11th.
About the Production
“Making Spirits Bright” is performed in the Landmarks’ Jeanne Rimsky Theatre in December annually. This concert has been a Berest tradition for over three decades. The show embraces a child’s world of dance bringing together performers of all ages and levels.
Glistening stars, angels and fairies fill the stage. Dancing toys, mischievous elves and Santa himself will delight audiences young and old. Lavish scenery and costumes make this production a family favorite.
Audience participation is Olga Berest’s intermission surprise each year. Dozens of boys and girls are invited to join her on stage to learn and perform the Nutcracker's “Mice and Soldiers” duel. It is performed to as the audience watches in amazement.
Mixing gift giving with the arts is the thumbprint of this holiday production. Over the years “Making Spirits Bright” has donated hundreds of toys to the underserved.
